What is Project Management Student Club?

The Project Management Student Club (PMSC) at Fresno State is a student-run organization dedicated to helping students develop real-world project management skills that prepare them for leadership roles in business, technology, engineering, and beyond.

More About Us

  • We are not officially recognized as a club as of December 2025. We are still in process of formalizing with Fresno State ASI.

  • Our mission is to create a collaborative community where students can:

    • Learn real-world project management techniques and tools.

    • Build professional skills through workshops, simulations, and hands-on projects.

    • Connect with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.

    • Prepare for internships, certifications, and careers in project management.

We promote the values of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical leadership in all our activities.

  • The Project Management Student Club operates democratically under a Constitution and Bylaws approved by Fresno State’s Office of Student Involvement.
The organization is guided by an Executive Committee, elected by members each academic year, and supported by several standing committees that manage specific club functions.

    Executive Committee

    • President – Leads the club, oversees all meetings, and represents the organization at university and community events.

    • Vice President – Supports the President, coordinates operations, and assumes leadership in their absence.

    • Treasurer – Manages budgeting, dues, and financial records with transparency.

    • Secretary – Maintains records, takes minutes, and manages internal communication.

    Standing Committees

Each committee focuses on a key area of the club’s operations:

    • Membership – Recruits and engages members, coordinates mentorship programs.

    • Events – Plans meetings, guest speakers, and social activities.

    • Professional Development – Organizes workshops, certification prep sessions, and skills training.

    • Finance – Assists the Treasurer in budgeting and financial planning.

    • Public Relations – Promotes the club through marketing, outreach, and social media.

    • Bylaws – Ensures the organization follows university and constitutional guidelines.
